Byvin Auto

2026-07-08 03:10:01

Byvin Auto is an energy vehicle manufacturer in China. The brand was established in 2001, headquartered in Weifang City, Shandong Province. It focused early on the electric two-wheeler market, entered the low-speed electric vehicle field in 2008, and has now become a comprehensive brand for the coordinated development of electric bicycles, electric tricycles, and low-speed electric vehicles. Under the group, it owns five brands: Byvin, Levdeo, Yema, Qinxing, and Baoluda. It has laid out six production bases in Weifang, Chengdu, Mianyang, Xianyang, Tianjin, and Wuxi, possessing production capabilities for the full spectrum of passenger, commercial, fuel, electric, and hydrogen vehicles.

Development History

Byvin was founded in 2001, signed Andy Lau as a spokesperson in 2006, and quickly opened up brand awareness. Levdeo Automobile was established in 2008, starting the low-speed electric vehicle business. From 2016 to 2018, low-speed electric vehicle annual sales jumped from 150,000 units to 287,000 units, with annual sales revenue reaching 12 billion RMB, firmly sitting in the industry leader position.

After low-speed electric vehicle policy tightened in 2018, Levdeo acquired Shaanxi Qinxing and Sichuan Yema in succession, investing 1.45 billion RMB to obtain new energy passenger vehicle production qualifications. In 2021, it launched the A00-level pure electric model "Levdeo Mango," with the full series priced from 30,000 to 80,000 RMB. However, market competition was fierce, and in 2022, Levdeo Mango's annual sales were only 13,500 units, far lagging behind the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV's same-period performance of over 420,000 units. In May 2023, Levdeo Automobile applied for bankruptcy reorganization. In the same year, Tianjin Xingshida Technology Company completed the acquisition of the Byvin brand. The new team built new bases in Tianjin and Wuxi and invested special maintenance funds. Nationwide, 87% of the original dealers chose to continue cooperation.

Product Portfolio

The multi-brand matrix formed through acquisition clearly divides market levels.

Byvin focuses on the M Series mini electric vehicles as its main force, successively launching models such as M3, M5, M6, M7, and M8, covering the price range from 20,000 to 40,000 RMB. In 2022, it launched the upgraded model "Lingdi," equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, Gotion High-Tech lithium battery, and E-LOOP energy recovery system, maintaining a range of approximately 150 kilometers under extreme low temperatures of -30°C.

Levdeo was originally positioned in the mid-to-high-end low-speed market. It released the "National First Car" strategy in 2014, and models such as the D70 became top products in the low-speed electric vehicle sector. After 2021, it launched A00-level pure electric models such as the Mango and Mango Pro, with a maximum range reaching 335 kilometers.

Yema was acquired in 2019, with its traditional fuel passenger vehicle products continuing production.

Qinxing provides new energy commercial vehicles and special-purpose vehicle supplementation.

Baoluda targets the more segmented three-wheeled electric vehicle terminal market.

Market Performance

Byvin's sales peak was concentrated between 2016 and 2018, with annual main business revenue once exceeding 12 billion RMB, and 2017 production capacity expected to reach 260,000 units. After the new operation team took over, full-year sales volume in 2025 increased by 104.8% year-on-year, higher than the industry average growth rate. The brand signed table tennis athlete Ma Lin as a spokesperson in Tianjin and launched the "Ten-Thousand User Trial Plan" in the same year, promoting green mobility layout around the "Dual Carbon" strategy. On the terminal side, Byvin has over 3,000 primary stores and over 10,000 secondary stores nationwide, with channels extended down to the county and township levels.

Core Technology

Byvin has self-developed a powertrain system (battery, motor, electronic control) and named it the "iPower" power system, "iControl" core control system, and "iLife" full lifecycle battery management technology, improving range by approximately 20% compared to same-level models under equal driving conditions. At the motor level, permanent magnet synchronous motors are the main configuration. Battery packs use Gotion High-Tech high-end cells and integrate temperature control systems, the E-LOOP energy recovery system, and other technologies, further optimizing comprehensive energy consumption and low-temperature performance. In terms of production, Byvin has established four process workshops: stamping, welding, painting, and assembly, providing basic guarantees for a standardized complete vehicle manufacturing system.

Global Presence

Byvin formulated a "domestic and international dual-channel sales" strategy early on. In 2009, its self-developed electric vehicle was successfully exported to Japan, achieving a breakthrough of zero overseas sales. The group has also sold products to Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines. According to the enterprise's public data, its export business has covered over 20 countries and regions.

Future Outlook

For Byvin, which has stood at the top of the low-speed electric vehicle list for over 20 years, the current primary task is to thoroughly separate historical debt burdens and restart its path as an "independently operating market entity according to law." The new operation team has laid out brand new manufacturing bases in Tianjin and Wuxi since 2023 and provides continuous risk guarantees for the dealer system. In the next stage, the brand will focus on the strategic positioning of "Byvin, More Thrilling," strengthen its basic business of electric two-wheelers and low-speed three-wheelers, and steadily promote product updates and improved channel competitiveness.
